RSE
At the heart of our Catholic faith is love. St John says that "God is love" (John 4:8) and the whole purpose of Christianity is to live it as fully as possible in and through love.
The Relationship Education (RSE) in our school aims to teach our children the fundamental building blocks and characteristics of healthy and positive relationships, with particular reference to friendships, family relationships and relationships with other children and adults. We do this under the guidance of the Catholic Education Service who state that Catholic schools are required to deliver Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) in accordance with the teachings of the Church. This approach is compatible with the guidance issued by the DFE.
Our programme enshrines Catholic values relating to the importance of stable relationships, marriage and family life. It also promotes those virtues which are essential to God's call to love others with a proper respect for their dignity and the dignity of the human body.
